Coaching and mentoring share many similarities. Both use open support and occasionally challenging questions in order to identify solutions and actions. Mentoring fully supports the client in setting appropriate goals and methods of assessing progress as well as providing support and practical ideas which have been tried and tested. Ann will also help the client to evaluate the outcome of the process as well as the goals.

Mentoring is less structured than coaching and is client driven. Ann maintains unconditional positive regard for the client at all times whilst ensuring that clients develop the personal competencies and strategies to achieve their goals.

Ann has the unique combination of over 2 decades as a lawyer and manager in industry. Ann will provide supportive positive and motivational professional mentoring in a confidential, non-judgemental, and non-critical environment.  Ann uses an intuitive combination of knowledge and experience and well proven mentoring techniques in her successful innovative and challenging approach.

Mentoring Process

There is normally a one to one relationship between mentor and client to agree the support required. This can consists of a number of meetings during a 12 month period with telephone and email support where required. This will allow not only the sharing and discussion of ideas but also appropriate documentation.

This is particularly useful for those being groomed for heads of department both inside organisations and private practice.
