Why Coach?
‘Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them’
The Inner game of Tennis & Golf by Tim Galway
How do I increase the effectiveness of my training?
A US study which found that training alone increased productivity by 22.4%, but training combined with eight sessions of one-to-one follow-up coaching over three months increased productivity by 88%.
The Coaching Model
The model used is the TGROW – model. This model consists of choosing a theme or framework in which to establish the goals of the programme and each session. It stands for Theme, Goal, Reality, Option and Will. Each is explored appropriately.
This model has goal setting and achievement at its fundamental core. Weekly sessions sustain enthusiasm and determination to ensure that the results are lasting, beneficial changes; unlike the temporary high that can follow a seminar or motivational talk.
Individual
The purpose of this is to facilitate you to define your own plan of your professional life and how to obtain or maintain it. This has goal setting and achievement as its PRIMARY focus and the results speak for themselves. You bring any personal concerns about your professional life and/or personal life.
Ann is a member of the coaching Academy, Europe’s leading coaching organisation. Ann’s coaching is unbiased objective support that sees and highlights the best of your qualities and abilities and helps you develop them. It also identifies which hurdles are hard for you to get over and assists you in finding ways to circumvent them.
Professional coaching could provide the focus and direction that you require to achieve your goals or full potential.
Organisation or law firm packages
Why provide executive professional coaching:
As coaching is meant to supplement your own training programmes, it is imperative that the organization/law firm and the team or individual lawyers understand the nature of coaching and what it can achieve for them, their teams and their organisation/law firm.
Worst of all, they may fail to meet their own and their firm’s expectations. This is where the role of the coach can be used to its greatest effect. Lawyers who may become stressed and ‘out of control’ can be retained and the humanistic understanding required can be learnt in a real situation with a high probability that this new knowledge will be applied immediately.
Coaching Format
This is a one to one relationship between coach and client. It usually follows the format of weekly face to face or telephone sessions made by prior appointment, each lasting up to 30 – 40 minutes. This includes unlimited email support.
After the initial session, we agree the goals and purpose of the coaching programme support which is for a minimum of three months.
