Beyond the Brief is the brainchild of Ann Page, and is a specialist business offering strategic coaching, leadership; management and interpersonal skills training for the legal profession.
Ann and her on-call team of specialist resources work with corporate organisations, firms and individual lawyers on a comprehensive range of courses aimed at those already in senior positions or aspiring to be there to enable them to achieve their leadership and professional goals and enhance their bottom line.
Ann is uniquely qualified to offer such high quality training and coaching for lawyers, thanks to her combination of skill sets and a career background that has equipped her with a potent mix of legal and management experience.
A former Top 100 Lawyer of the Year, Ann is perfectly placed to offer strategic coaching to fellow lawyers, as she has both delivered and received legal services. Her impressive CV over a 30 year legal career includes senior positions at companies/organisations as diverse as Citibank, Crest Homes, Next, National & Provincial (now Abbey) and The Co-operative Bank.
This has resulted in an ideal combination of legal and management experience, the ability to professionally develop legal staff using competencies to fulfill their potential, and to provide cost effective legal services. Ann is also a candidate member of the Professional Speakers’ Association and is a firm believer in making presentations, coaching sessions and training environments lively and engaging – ensuring no participant or delegate will leave the room feeling flat or uninspired!
Ann is Head of Business Affairs for the Institute of Paralegals, a member of the Committee for the Law Society Council Membership, has trained with the Coaching Academy and also holds a HNLP certificate in coaching as well as being an NLP Master Practitioner.
Ann has been involved with the Law Society National Commerce & Industry Group for 15 years in a variety of roles and chaired it for 18-months, during which time she initiated many firsts for the Group.
She is a published book author (‘Managing External Legal Resources’) and has appeared on the professional services TV channel talking on this topic as well as speaking and writing on lawyers’ professional development.
She has wide knowledge of the issues facing the legal profession. She is a passionate, active participant in the changes affecting her professional body and proactively contributes to the future development and shape of things to come.
